'Aston Villa will build the team around Jhon Duran' after confirmed news

Aston Villa fans have called for Ollie Watkins to be dropped and the team to be built around Jhon Duran following his performance against RB Leipzig.

The 20-year-old came off the bench to score his 10th goal of the season as Unai Emery’s side went on to defeat the German outfit 3-2.

The Premier League side climbed into third place in the Champions League group stage with their fourth win of the competition, and fans were impressed by what Duran offered.

Duran has only started four games across all competitions this season for Villa, and he told Amazon Prime after the game that, “When it’s my turn, I’ll step up.”

However, supporters have called for his turn to take place immediately as they believe he’s good enough to lead the line.

Duran has scored five goals in the Premier League, three in the Champions League, and two in the EFL Cup as he’s proven his ability to perform at all levels for the club.

Aston Villa fans want Jhon Duran to start games

Football Insider revealed in November that the striker could be set to leave Villa as he would like to be the first choice rather than playing second fiddle to Watkins.

That’s something that Villa fans are aware of as they have called for him to get the nod over the England international in the future.
