Bayern Munich respond to Manchester United bid for Matthijs de Ligt
United submitted an official bid on Monday.
Bayern Munich have rejected Manchester United’s opening bid for Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt, according to reports in Germany.
United are interested in signing the 24-year-old despite already bringing French centre-back Leny Yoro to Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United released Raphael Varane at the end of the season and sold Willy Kambwala to Spanish outfit Villarreal.
