Liverpool are braced for a formal Saudi Arabian bid for Mohamed Salah with a summer transfer still a real possibility, sources have told Football Insider.
The Saudi Pro League clubs are still deciding their budgets before what is expected to be a deluge of late-window activity.
This will trigger the market across many of the big leagues around the world, including the Premier League, and that could have a big effect on what happens at Anfield over the next three weeks.
Sources claim that Liverpool will find a “£100million offer” for Salah, 32, difficult to refuse in this window.
It is said that a life-changing contract offer might also not be personally on the table next year for Salah, which is why a deal might still be alive before the 31st August cut-off.
The forward is entering the final year of his contract at Anfield, putting pressure on the club to sell or negotiate a new deal.
Liverpool are braced for a late-window Mohamed Salah bid
Since joining the Premier League giants in 2017, Salah has been a constant figure in the Liverpool starting lineup.
The Egypt international has played 349 games in all competitions, scoring 211 goals and providing 89 assists.
Salah was as important to Liverpool’s campaign last season as ever, scoring 25 goals in 44 appearances which will be difficult to replace.
However, Crystal Palace will consider contract talks in a bid to fend off interest in him this month.
