Celtic fans are demanding the club sign a new striker after the latest injury update on Kyogo Furuhashi emerged following the win v Hibernian.
Brendan Rodgers’ side won 2-0 at Easter Road, but the Japanese striker was withdrawn after 75 minutes and replaced by Mikey Johnston.
However, Johnston was then withdrawn with an injury after 95 minutes, leaving Celtic without a natural striker amid fears about Kyogo’s recurring shoulder blow.
Rodgers confirmed that the striker should return within a couple of days, but the boss has done little to ease the concerns among fans.
This comes just one week after Football Insider reported that fans had warned the club a new striker would be needed as fears over Kyogo’s fitness grow.
Many supporters had pointed to Aberdeen forward Bojan Miovski as a potential option, but he now looks set to head to Spain in a move to join Girona.
Celtic fans rage at board after Kyogo injury update
Kyogo remains the first-choice striker option for Rodgers, but a clear lack of squad depth in that position is a cause for concern.
With Champions League fixtures around the corner and no new signings imminent, Celtic fans are calling for drastic action from the board.
Fans flooded social media expressing their anger at the board and demanding new signings be made before the window closes on 30 August.
Many highlighted Miovski as the ideal option, but Celtic are set to miss out.
In other news, Celtic are set to accept a £25million bid for Matt O’Riley before 31 August.
