Celtic have seen their odds of retaining the Scottish Premier League reduced following their 3-0 demolishing of rivals Rangers.
First-half goals from Japanese forwards Daizen Maida and Kyogo Furuhashi followed by a 75th-minute close-range finish from captain Call McGregor have kept Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League table.
Brendan Rodger’s side are yet to concede a league goal and have scored an impressive 12 in their opening four games of the season.
Celtic favourites to lift Scottish Premier League title
According to William Hill, Celtic are 1/8 to win the Scottish Premier League for the fourth time in a row with Rangers well behind them on 9/2.
Beyond that, the odds get even longer with Aberdeen in third at 80/1 to lift the trophy, and Edinburgh side Hearts even further behind with 150/1.
Ross County and St Johnstone both sit dead last on an incredibly unlikely 2000-1 to end the season as title winners.
Celtic spent nearly £29million in their bid to retain the title, more than double the £14million spent by Rangers spent throughout the summer transfer window.
The current champions face Hearts at home in their first game back from the international break on September 14th.
Unsurprisingly they’re heavy favourites to secure another victory at 2/9, according to William Hill.
In other news, Celtic fans taken aback by unseen Joe Hart footage from Rangers showdown.
