Celtic told to finalise Kieran Tierney deal after new twist - fans react

Celtic fans have urged the club to sign Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney after reports have linked him with a return to the Scottish giants.

According to talkSPORT, the Hoops are monitoring the 27-year-old’s situation at the Emirates Stadium after he has been deemed surplus to requirements by Mikel Arteta.

The Scotland international has been told he can leave the Gunners in January, which could open up an emotional return to the club where he kickstarted his career.

The left-back played for Celtic from 2015 to 2019 where he made 170 appearances in all competitions, which saw him win the Scottish Premiership four times.

Arsenal signed Tierney from the Scottish giants for £25million and he has gone on to play 124 times for the club, but he has fallen out of favour in the past year.

The full-back moved to Real Sociedad on loan last season, but since returning to the Gunners he has been sidelined with a hamstring injury that he suffered during the Euros.

Celtic fans want to see Kieran Tierney return in January

Tierney’s current deal at Arsenal expires in 2026, but the Premier League giants could cut ties with him as soon as this January.

Celtic fans have encouraged the club to bring Tierney back for a homecoming, with supporters admitting they’d be “delighted” to see him return.
