Arsenal will look to return to winning ways in the Premier League as they prepare to host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners were pegged back in virtually the last kick of the game against Manchester City as John Stones struck a late equaliser to snatch a 2-2 draw.
Mikel Arteta’s side have 11 points from their first five games and find themselves two points behind league leaders Man City.
As they aim to close the gap at the top of the table, a home game against a newly promoted side is a great opportunity for them to secure all three points.
And Paul Merson thinks an easy win is on the cards for Arsenal after their dramatic draw at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.
Paul Merson predicts Arsenal to steamroll Leicester City
Merson predicted an easy 3-0 home win and went on to claim that the Gunners stand a chance of winning a major trophy this season if they manage to keep things right at the back.
“I’m backing Arsenal to get a comfortable win here against Leicester,” wrote Merson in his column for Sportskeeda.
“Some Leicester fans wanted to come to the top flight and be in the top half of the table, that just makes me laugh. They’re in big trouble and so is Steve Cooper.
“From now until the end of the season, Arsenal should not let in more than one goal in any football match, that should be their aim.
“They’re always going to score goals, that’s not an issue. If they keep it tight at the back, they have a chance of winning something.”

Rodri’s long-term injury has emerged as a big talking point in recent weeks, with the Man City midfielder currently facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a ligament injury.
There has been a lot of chatter that Rodri’s absence could give Arsenal the upper hand in the Premier League title race, but Merson believes Man City still have the upper hand as they aim to make it five titles on the bounce.
Merson continued: “I still don’t believe Arsenal are favorites for the title now after the injury to Rodri.
“You look at the substitutes that Manchester City have, and look at the size of that squad compared to Arsenal, who were bringing on Gabriel Jesus, who City actually let go, there is certainly a difference.”
How Arsenal can lineup vs Leicester City
Leandro Trossard was sent off in their previous league encounter against City but served his one-match suspension in midweek as he sat out of Arsenal’s EFL Cup clash against Bolton Wanderers.
The Belgian will be available for selection and could partner the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz in attack.
Arsenal actually played quite well against Man City before Trossard’s red card and could opt to go with the same lineup against the Foxes on Saturday.
