Atletico Madrid are due to seal the signing of Conor Gallagher from Chelsea this week, but on Friday morning the 24-year-old England international was already training with his new colleagues.
Despite neither Chelsea nor Atletico Madrid having announced the deal, Gallagher was seen in training with Los Colchoneros. MD say that Atletico were impressed with the level of fitness he has already arrived with, and at points he was even told to ease of in training for going with too much intensity. Gallagher was training with the other players who did not travel to Hong Kong for their preseason friendly.

It is believed that Gallagher will sign a five-year deal with Atletico this weekend, making a €40m move from Chelsea official. Going the other way, Samu Omorodion is also expected to complete a €45m move from Atletico once his duties with Spain at the Olympics are completed, with the gold medal match taking place today. Earlier in the week Atletico tried to pull out of the Gallagher deal, but it appears they have decided to go ahead with it.
