David Coote 'sacked and banned for life' - Liverpool fans react to PGMOL update

Liverpool fans are furious with PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Board) after footage of referee David Coote slating the club and former manager Jurgen Klopp leaked.

Leaked footage shows Coote, 42, being asked by a companion for his thoughts on the Liverpool game while serving as fourth official, to which he replied, “Liverpool were s***t.”

He also expressed his disdain for Klopp by saying, “C***, absolute c***.”

Coote explained why he felt that way, “Aside from having a right pop at me when I reffed them against Burnley in lockdown, he accused me of lying and then just had a right f****** pop at me.

“I’ve got no interest in speaking to somebody who’s f****** arrogant, so I do my best not to speak to him.”

Coote has since been suspended with “immediate effect” after PGMOL launched an investigation into the video and the referee’s comments.

Liverpool fans outraged at PGMOL over David Coote footage

Coote refereed Liverpool’s 2-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa on Sunday (November 10) as Arne Slot’s side went five points clear at the top of the table.

Outraged by the footage, Liverpool fans have taken to X, formally known as Twitter, to express their concerns over Coote and PGMOL.

I wrote this 4 years ago.
I said then that David Coote was biased.
I said that the PGMOL was corrupt.
I gave multiple examples of Coote "cheating," both against Liverpool & other teams in favour of Man City.

So many incidents where David Coote has had a howler with key decisions against Liverpool, the last of which just two days ago when Salah went clean through and was hauled down yet he waved no foul.
