Tom Brady sends one-word message to Birmingham City fans after astonishing twist

Birmingham City owner Tom Brady took to social media to celebrate their comprehensive 7-1 EFL Trophy win over Fulham Under-21s on Tuesday (October 29).

Birmingham secured their place in the EFL Trophy round of 32 thanks to braces from record signing Jay Stansfield and Ayumu Yokoyama.

Alfie May, Keshi Anderson, and Lyndon Dykes also got on the scoresheet in a win that has the League One club favourites to make a trip to Wembley for the final in April.

Sitting at the top of League One with 29 points from their first 12 games, Chris Davies’ side look well on their way to securing promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Tom Brady shows Birmingham City support

Brady, 47, acquired a minority stake of 3.3 percent in Birmingham City in August 2023 but holds no voting rights in club decisions, according to a report from The Athletic.

Still, he is clearly emotionally invested in the club, taking to Instagram to send a simple message to Birmingham City fans after their impressive win.

‘KRO’ means Keep Right On and is the chant sung by Birmingham fans since the mid-1950s, it’s also an acronym used by supporters on social media.

The clubs are yet to find out who they’ll play in the next round of the EFL Trophy but they face National League side Sutton United in the first round of the FA Cup on Sunday (November 3).
