England fans fume at 'woke' Declan Rice for what he did against Ireland

England fans were furious with Declan Rice after he opted not to celebrate when scoring against Ireland.

The Three Lions defeated Ireland 2-0 at the Aviva Stadium to kickstart their Nations League campaign in impressive style.

Rice opened the scoring with a thunderous strike into the top corner, but chose not to celebrate the moment.

The Arsenal midfielder earned three caps for the Ireland earlier in his career before pledging his international career to England.

Rice chose not to celebrate the moment out of respect for the team he played for and the fans in the stadium.

It’s something that his teammate and former Republic of Ireland star Jack Grealish didn’t replicate, as he celebrated his goal with plenty of passion.

England fans were obviously thrilled by Rice’s goal and the impact it had on the game, but they were disappointed not to see him celebrate it as an England player.
