Everton hopes of landing 'Incredibly Fast' ace dependent on player exit - report

Everton’s chances of signing Yankuba Minteh could depend on whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin moves to Newcastle United, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The outlet reported via its online edition on Friday (28 June) that Newcastle’s interest in Calvert-Lewin is crucial to any deal due to Minteh’s £40million valuation.

Minteh, who has been branded as an “incredibly fast” winger by former Feyenoord boss Arne Slot [FN], is said to be eager to join the Toffees.

Despite rumours to the contrary, the report adds that Minteh hasn’t been banished to the Magpies’ reserves as he pushes for a move out of Tyneside.

If Newcastle resume talks for Calvert-Lewin, the Toffees could see Minteh heading to Goodison Park.

Yankuba Minteh’s transfer to Everton hangs in the balance

Minteh joining Everton would be an exciting move for both the player and the club, but it’s complicated.

The speedy winger impressed at Feyenoord last season and is keen on a move to Merseyside. However, if the deal largely depends on Calvert-Lewin’s future, then this complicates things.

If Newcastle revisit the deal and an agreement is reached, it could pave the way for Minteh to join Everton.

Despite rumours, Minteh hasn’t been relegated to the reserves, which is a good sign.

Everton are also looking at Iliman Ndiaye, but Minteh remains a key target to strengthen their attack.

It’s a complex situation with a lot of moving parts, but for now, Minteh’s move to Everton hangs in the balance, waiting on what happens with Calvert-Lewin.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are now interested in signing a Barcelona-linked forward.
