Everton Director of Football Kevin Thelwell joined 400 supporters at Goodison Park in the final community sleep-out event at the stadium.
Henry Winter shared on X [14 October] that Thelwell was among the fans participating in the initiative on Friday 11 October, spending the night on the Goodison pitch to raise £140,000 for the “Home is Where the Heart is” campaign.
Everton in the Community [EITC] [12 October], has confirmed the amount raised was a record from the organised event which was launched in 2016, welcoming thousands of supporters over the years.

The emotional goodbyes being paid to Goodison Park are gathering momentum as the exciting Everton move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium edges closer.
This was the final community event of its kind and efforts are bound to be made to replicate the initiative at the high-tech new waterfront arena in due course.
Many clubs have overseen sleep-out events on their home pitches which give supporters memorable moments at their beloved stadiums, but most importantly contribute to tackling homelessness in the local area.
It certainly comes across well to supporters that Thelwell was part of the sleep-out, with some fans undoubtedly attempting to wedge in a few off-the-record questions.
In terms of the stadium construction itself at Bramley-Moore Dock, a milestone has been hit as work ramps up on the under-pitch foundations [Liverpool Echo, 14 October].
