Sean Dyche could lose his Everton job if the club’s proposed takeover goes ahead sooner than expected, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed John Textor might not see Dyche as the man he wants in charge of the club.
The American is currently in a period of exclusivity to buy Farhad Moshiri’s shares in the football club.
However, Textor still owns 45% of Crystal Palace and must sell those shares in order to take over at Goodison Park due to Premier League rules prohibiting people from owning two clubs.
If the takeover does accelerate and Textor gains control of Everton sooner than expected, he could start implementing his own plans.
The Merseyside club currently sit bottom of the Premier League after making a winless start to the season.
Sean Dyche is under pressure at Everton regardless of the ownership
Dyche is currently under pressure at Goodison Park due to the team’s poor start to the new campaign, conceding more goals than any other team.
Everton have conceded 13 goals in the opening four Premier League fixtures and have also been knocked out of the EFL Cup.
The Merseyside club have led their previous two league matches by two goals but went on to lose each game, adding further pressure on Dyche.
Football Insider revealed that the former Burnley boss could lose his job if the club loses their next two matches against Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
If Textor manages to take control of Everton before the January transfer window, he is set to make “big” funds available.
