Everton transfer round-up: DCL sale possible, another player set to reject contract

Everton have been linked to various potential signings despite the uncertainty over finances and their prospective new owners.

The transfer window does not open until Friday (14 June), giving the Toffees time to consider their options for additions.

Ben Godfrey turns down Everton contract offers

HITC have reported (11 June) that multiple Serie A sides are interested in signing Godfrey after missing out on Lloyd Kelly who has joined Newcastle United.

Godfrey has one year remaining on his contract at Goodison Park and could look to run that down and leave on a free next summer.

With AC Milan and Roma interested in securing his signature this window, the Toffees may look to cash in while they can.

Armando Broja could replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The Everton striker had been linked to a move away earlier this month and now The Athletic have reported (11 June) that they could sell him to fund a move for Broja.

A “host of clubs” are interested in signing the Albanian this summer but most will wait until after his EUROs spell with Albania.

The Chelsea forward could prove to be the perfect replacement for Calvert-Lewin if he was to depart.

Everton handed Amadou Onana Arsenal boost

All season long it has felt like it would be Onana’s last at Goodison Park with various elite sides from across Europe interested in him.

Now The Athletic’s James McNicholas has suggested (11 June) that a deal is “not in the works” despite the Gunners “admiring” him.

This will be music to Dyche and Everton fans’ ears although the window isn’t yet open and the Belgian could easily still depart.

Werder Bremen offer Justin Njinmah deal amid Everton interest

Clemens Fritz has told BILD (10 June) that the Bundesliga side are in talks to secure a new contract for the 23-year-old.

The German forward currently has two years remaining on his deal so this new offer would secure his future well beyond that.

Wolves, Villareal and a host of Bundesliga sides are also interested in Nijnmah but they may be put off by his new deal with Bremen.
