Crystal Palace are set to kick off contract talks with left-back Tyrick Mitchell, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old, who is an ever-present and top performer at Palace, is currently out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
It is believed that attention will now turn to future planning at Selhurst Park after the close of the summer transfer window on Friday (30 August).
Man United have been linked with Mitchell and Palace hope a new deal for the England international will fend off interest from elite Premier League sides.
The left-back has started and played 90 minutes in each of the club’s four games so far in the 2024-25 campaign.
He made 41 appearances for Palace in the 2023-24 campaign, notching two goals and three assists.

The London-born ace has made 148 appearances across all competitions for Palace since making his debut in December 2019.
He is the only natural left-back on the books at Selhurst Park.
