Crystal Palace are set to recall striker Ademola Ola-Adebomi from his loan at Belgian club SK Beveren in January and loan him out elsewhere, sources have told Football Insider.
A multitude of EFL League One and League Two clubs are monitoring Ola-Adebomi’s situation as they look to bolster their attacking options when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks with the Eagles, but is yet to make his first-team debut for the club.
He did though get his first taste of senior football in the second half of last season, when Crystal Palace loaned him to Burton Albion.
Ola-Adebomi went on to score once in 14 appearances for the Brewers as they finished 20th in the League One table.
This summer’s transfer window then saw the young forward sent out on loan again, as he joined SK Beveren who are currently fifth the Belgian second-tier.
Since making that move, Ola-Adebomi is yet to score in eight appearances for his current loan club, and has not even got on the pitch since the end of October.
Ola-Adebomi to be on the move again in January as Crystal Palace plan revealed
As a result, it is understood that Crystal Palace are now set to recall the striker when the transfer window reopens in January.
Oliver Glasner’s side will then field more interest in the striker, with a number of League One and League Two clubs monitoring his situation ahead of a potential move for him at the turn of the year.
As things stand, Ola-Adebomi’s contract at Selhurst Park is due to expire at the end of this season, so another move could be a chance for him to catch the eye of his parent club.
The Eagles themselves currently sit 16th in the Premier League table three points clear of the relegation zone following their controversial goalless draw with Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
In other news, Crystal Palace have been tipped to sign a new striker amid uncertainty around Jean-Philippe Mateta’s contract at the club.
