Exclusive: John Textor chips away at Everton confidential information amid Crystal Palace hurdle

John Textor still has concerns about PSR issues at Everton as he closes in on an agreement with Farhad Moshiri to buy the Merseyside club, Goodison News has been told.

US billionaire Textor, 58, is waiting on final approvals from the Everton board and Rights and Media Funding before a deal with Moshiri can be fully agreed.

He’s also being held up by the fact that information about Everton’s PSR situation is being fed to him slowly due him being an owner at Crystal Palace.

Goodison News has been told by a source close to the Everton takeover that Textor does have some concerns about the club’s PSR numbers. However, he is confident that any questions can be answered and that it won’t derail any kind of agreement with Moshiri for his 94 per cent shareholding of the Toffees.

Everton’s PSR figures are classed as confidential information and Textor, whose Eagle Football Holdings currently owns 45 per cent of Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, is limited as to what he can receive from Goodison Park.

It is understood that Textor is hoping he can swiftly have clarity over Everton’s losses after Sean Dyche’s side was hit with two separate points deductions in the Premier League last season.

Once an agreement between Textor and Moshiri can be rubber-stamped, the American, who also owns Lyon and Botafago, will set to work putting finances in place, seeking Premier League approval and selling his shares at Crystal Palace [Alan Myers].

Premier League rules forbid one person from owning more than one club.

Speaking to Sky Sports on 12 September, the Missouri-born businessman revealed he’s received two serious bids for his Palace shares.
