Prominent Nigerian fashion house Deji & Kola styled Ademola Lookman’s agbada outfit for the 2024 CAF Player of the Year awards ceremony at Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, Soccernet.ng reports.
Having endured heavy criticism for his choice of outfit for the Ballon d’Or ceremony earlier this year, Lookman pulled up for the event in proper Yoruba style, donning a well-tailored stylish green agbada complimented by a matching head gear and some beads around his neck.
Deji & Kola, the brains behind Lookman’s exquisite attire, was founded in 2017 by two brothers Ayodeji Adebayo and Kolapo Olabintan. The brand specializes in tailoring for adult-males and producing ready-to-wear outfits.
Widely regarded for the elegance and sophistication of their products, their range of services include sewing of suits, corporate outfits and traditional native attires just like Lookman’s stylish agbada.
Clad in Deji & Kola’s masterpiece, the Atalanta forward went on to clinch the CAF Player of the Year award despite strong competition from the likes of Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy and South Africa’s Rowen Williams.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Deji & Kola expressed their pride in designing the attire of Africa’s best player for the year 2024.

Lookman’s spectacular form in 2024 greatly justifies his recognition as Africa’s best. The 27-year-old winger inspired Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ charge to the AFCON 2024 final before firing Atalanta to Europa League glory, making history as the first player to net a hat-trick in the final of a UEFA competition.
By choosing to rock Yoruba traditional attire made by Deji & Kola for the biggest award ceremony of African football, Lookman not only celebrated his personal achievement in style, but also put Nigerian craftsmanship on the global map.
Deji & Kola have operated primarily from their Lagos-based headquarters in Lekki since 2017 and expanded earlier this year by opening two international stores in Canada and the United Kingdom to better serve their vast array of international clients.
