Georginio Rutter was not happy with Leeds United fans after they booed both Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober in the pre-season friendly v Valencia.

Fans in attendance at Elland Road noticed the Frenchman shaking his head and “telling the crowd off” as boos rang out for the returning loanees.

Both Aaronson and Wober spent last season away from Leeds following their relegation to the Championship, leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of the supporters.

They were among others in an exodus thanks to contract clauses which enabled them to leave on loan – but will be part of Daniel Farke’s team for the upcoming season.

Fans do not all agree with the decision to bring them back, but their frustration may also have left a negative impression on one of their star players in Rutter.

The attacking midfielder urged supporters to stop expressing their displeasure towards the players, but the boos at Elland Road continued anyway.

Rutter himself has been linked with a move away from Leeds this summer, as Football Insider revealed Brighton are preparing an increased bid for his services.

One fan called for the fans not to annoy the player who remains one of the key players following the departures of Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray.

However, most pointed to his reaction to the supporters as they joined his calls for the supporters not to boo their own players.

In other news, Leeds have made a move to sign Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark on a season-long loan.
