Ghana’s squad, carefully selected after an intense month-long closed training camp, reflects a blend of experience and youthful energy.

As part of their preparation, the Black Galaxies recently traveled to Togo for an international friendly, where they secured a morale-boosting victory.

The squad features a strong defensive lineup, including Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Nurudeen Abdulai (Medeama SC), and Kusi Asante (Vision FC).

In midfield, Emmanuel Antwi (Asante Kotoko) and Manuel Mantey (Medeama SC) are expected to anchor play, while forwards Charwatey Faisal (Nations FC) and Albert Amoah (Asante Kotoko SC) will lead the attack.

Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles, coached by Daniel Ogunmodede, have also revealed their 18-man squad for the tie. The team is set to arrive in Accra ahead of the much-anticipated encounter.

The second leg will be hosted at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, on Saturday, December 28.

The aggregate winner will secure a ticket to the CHAN 2025 tournament, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

This clash reignites the rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria, with the Black Galaxies having edged past the Super Eagles on penalties during the last CHAN qualifiers two years ago.

Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s men will aim to replicate that success, while Nigeria seek redemption.

Both teams are determined to secure their place in next year’s CHAN, a tournament exclusively for players plying their trade in domestic leagues across Africa.
