Boulaye Dia appears to have snubbed a move to Everton in this transfer window as he’s made up his mind to join Lazio.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported on his website on 9 August that Salernitana have dropped their initial price of £12.8milllion and are close to reaching an agreement of £8.5million with Lazio for the striker.

This will come as a huge blow to the Toffees who even made an approach to sign the Senegal international in this transfer window. [Corriere Dello Sport, August 5, page 37]

While the 27-year-old did have a few injury issues, it would not have caused issues with his medical and the Toffees will now have to look at alternatives.
