'He will go' - Reliable journalist shares if Everton agree deal with club over new transfer

Hull City feel that Jaden Philogene will be joining Ipswich Town and not Everton this summer, according to Baz Cooper.

The Hull Daily Mail journalist claimed on 8 July that the Tigers have not agreed a deal with the Toffees for the 22-year-old.

On the other hand, an agreement has been reached with the newly promoted Premier League side.

Via Twitter, Cooper wrote: “City’s belief with Jaden Philogene remains that he will go to Ipswich Town. Told there has not been a deal agreed with Everton.”

Everton must focus on other targets after missing out on Jaden Philogene

The Toffees must now make the decision to focus on other targets after missing out on Philogene.

He is likely to move to Ipswich and that indicates that Everton’s financial situation may have limited their ability to compete in the bidding war for the winger.

The Toffees can now allocate their resources towards other areas of the squad that require strengthening.

The club have already secured the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille and they should now concentrate on bolstering their defence or midfield, which could potentially provide a greater impact on the team’s overall performance.

It’s also important to get clarity on Jarrad Branthwaite’s future and if he is leaving, then find a replacement for him.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is another player who could be on his way out and his exit would mean a quality striker needs to join.

In other Everton news, the club have submitted an offer to sign an international striker after the announcement of Iliman Ndiaye.
