Everton lost 4-0 to Manchester United, and Adrian Durham believes every fan wants Sean Dyche sacked after the defeat.
The Toffees travelled to Old Trafford on 1 December in the Premier League, and two goals each from Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee handed the Blues their sixth loss of the campaign.
Speaking on talkSPORT [1 December, 17:09], Durham thinks the Goodison faithful want the English manager to be relieved of his duties.
“I’ve never come across a fanbase like it. The whole of the fanbase at Everton want…, I believe that every single fan wants Sean Dyche to go.”
Sean Dyche will be sacked at Everton
Dyche is on thin ice at Everton, and it almost feels like the 53-year-old’s sacking is an inescapable fact at this point.
The Toffees lost their first four matches in the league this season, and at that point, the Englishman’s position in the Blues’ dugout became uncertain.
Since then, the Goodison faithful haven’t been able to see any real change in the Merseyside outfit’s performances, and it’s not surprising to see them turn against Dyche.
The supporters made their feelings known after their draw against Brentford on 23 November, with Boos ringing out at Goodison.
Everton have gone five games without a win in the Premier League, and things don’t look promising for the Toffees as they’re set to face Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in December.
It’s unlikely that the former Burnley head coach can get the Merseyside outfit to get the points needed to avoid going into the relegation zone in the coming weeks.
Farhad Moshiri [Sky Sports, 25 December] might be behind the 53-year-old, but Dyche can’t expect to survive much longer with the Goodison faithful losing optimism.
In other Everton news, the legalities around Dyche’s sacking have been revealed with Dan Friedkin set to complete his takeover.
