Liverpool fans have been waiting with bated breath for some contract news for the past few months.
Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract next summer, and Liverpool fans have been waiting for some good news.
Some good news did emerge from Anfield on the contract front this week as Fabrizio Romano reported that Ibrahima Konate is likely to sign a new deal.
Konate is set for a new deal, but what about the likes of Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold?
Speaking on The Debrief, Romano has shared an update on this trio, claiming that talks are ongoing and that all three players are prioritising their current talks with Liverpool rather than looking for moves.

Fabrizio Romano shares Liverpool contract update
Romano shared what he’s been told about Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold.
“Look, for Trent, Salah and Van Dijk the situation remains the same. They are talking negotiating and discussing, but there has been no breakthrough in talks,” Romano said.
“Let’s wait and see how it goes. I can guarantee that all three players are giving priority to Liverpool they will be happy to reach an agreement for Liverpool to stay, but it’s an important contract for long-term, for Van Dijk and Salah it could be the final big contracts of their career.”
Mohamed Salah could make surprising move
Mohamed Salah has long been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but now a move to the other side of the world could be on the cards instead.
Indeed, San Diego are looking at signing Salah as well as Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to come over and further bolster the reputation of MLS.
The likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are already playing in the USA, and more big names could be headed stateside.
Salah is still performing at the top level though, and he surely won’t be in a rush to call time on his European career just yet, as he still has so much more to achieve.
Salah has started this season brilliantly, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
As Romano says, Salah’s priority is to speak to Liverpool, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he did extend his stay at Anfield and further cement himself as a Premier League legend.
