'I can't believe it': Alasdair Gold shocked after hearing 'stunning bid' Tottenham have rejected
????️ "Stunning bid"
By the end of Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur will have completed more pre-season friendlies than permanent signings they’ve made this summer.
Ange Postecoglou‘s hope of seeing early business done at Tottenham has faded away as Spurs face their Asian tour next week with only Archie Gray through the door.
Timo Werner has also been brought back on a season-long loan but not too many Spurs fans will class the German forward as a new signing.
One thing which Spurs have managed well this summer is player exits.
Numerous players have already departed the club with more potentially to follow in the coming weeks.
But journalist Alasdair Gold has been left shocked after what he has heard about one bid which Spurs have already rejected.
Tottenham have rejected staggering bid this summer
Having secured Europa League football for the 2024/25 campaign, it would have been understandable if Spurs made a quick start to the window to bolster their squad options.
This has not been the case with the main focus seemingly being on getting players out of the door.
A lot of the exits have not seen Spurs bring in money with only Joe Rodon and Troy Parrott’s exits seeing Tottenham receive a return.
However, there is still time for this to change and there is interest in some of Tottenham’s players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Spurs have now rejected an £8.5m bid from AC Milan for Emerson Royal this summer which has left journalist Gold shocked.
“Poor old Emerson, I think he’d really like to go to AC Milan. He just wants to play regular football,” Gold said on his YouTube channel.
“But AC Milan came in with the stunning bid of £8.5m which is exactly the bid they put in verbally which Spurs said no to. I can’t believe it. It’s just madness.
“Spurs looking for about £16.8m for him. But again, a player with interest.”
Djed Spence may have just sealed Emerson Royal’s exit
On Wednesday night, Djed Spence was chosen as the starting right-back for the second half of the game at Tynecastle.
And how the 23-year-old impressed as he grabbed himself a goal and an assist against Hearts.
The performance put on by Spence could well have made Postecoglou sit up and notice with Spurs looking for a backup right-back in the market.
It does seem as if Tottenham would be willing to sell Emerson for the right price but that did not arrive from AC Milan.
However, Spence’s display on Wednesday night may have just put another nail in Emerson’s Tottenham coffin.
