Former Rangers and Sunderland midfielder, Derek Ferguson, has warned Nigerian striker, Cyriel Dessers, to keep his emotions in check when on the pitch, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 29-year-old was a hero for the Gers in Poland, scoring a late equalizer in their UEFA Champions League away qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv to set up an interesting fixture at Hampden Park in Ibrox.
Things turned sour for Rangers in front of their home fans, losing Jefte Silva to a red card in the early minutes of the second half before conceding two late goals, which condemned them to a place in the UEFA Europa League.
Dessers cut a frustrated figure in the second half of that game, falling out with a fan after he failed to control a long pass. The Super Eagles striker signalled the fans to support the team rather than criticize them.
After the game, ex-Rangers midfielder, Derek Ferguson, urged Dessers to keep his cool, and do the talking on the pitch rather than vent his frustration to the fans.
