Journalist shares when Everton will have 'Some Clarity' on takeover after Friedkin collapse

Everton should have “some clarity” over a potential takeover at Goodison Park in the next two weeks, according to Alan Myers.

Farhad Moshiri is once again looking for a new buyer after the Friedkin Group ended their talks with the Toffees with Blues insider Bryan King telling Goodison News on 7 July that the deal hit a “stumbling block” due to money owed to 777 Partners

While nothing is imminent at Goodison Park, Sky Sports journalist Myers has suggested it won’t be too long before supporters get a better idea of what the next steps will be in the long-running ownership saga.

Writing on X on Friday (26 July) he said: “Next two weeks there should be some clarity.”

Have Everton been taken over amid Farhad Moshiri uncertainty?

Two weeks may feel like a long time for supporters to be left in the dark, but Everton fans will have almost got used to this uncertainty with how long this takeover saga has been rumbling on at Goodison Park.

Moshiri has repeatedly put his own interests ahead of what would be good for the football club and it has come back to bite him over and over again, but hopefully, this time a takeover will actually be completed.

Sean Dyche’s side has managed to make massive strides on the pitch over the last few seasons, but they are constantly being dragged backwards by those above them who have run the club in such a terrible manner.

For the sake of the manager, the players and most of all the supporters, it would be great if anyone was now willing to take on the debt owed to 777 Partners just so that Moshiri was no longer tied to the club.

Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait two more weeks and a new frontrunner will emerge in the takeover race sooner than that.
