King predicts Daniel Levy stance on sacking Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham talks mooted

Bryan King doesn’t think Daniel Levy will want to sack Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou.

The ex-Spurs scout does however believe that the chairman and manager need to sit down and hold talks in North London.

Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (10 November), a result which marked the Tractor Boys’ first Premier League win of the season and left Jamie O’Hara fuming.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks Postecoglou needs to get some “belief” back into the team.

“I feel the last thing Levy wants to do is get rid of Postecoglou,” King said.

“However, I think they need to sit down and have a chat about the performances, that is for sure.

“Whether or not that will happen, I don’t know. However, what Postecoglou and his staff need to do is bring a bit of belief into the team again and get some consistency in results.”

It has been an incredibly frustrating season for Spurs. At times, they have been brilliant, securing wins over the likes of Aston Villa and Manchester City.

However, they have also handed Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town their first Premier League wins of the season. Therefore, fans are likely to be frustrated by this inconsistency, with Richard Keys adding to their misery after his recent jibe.

And this inconsistency is something which Postecoglou needs to address.

Otherwise, Levy could soon be forced to make a decision that he won’t want to have to make.
