King suggests Everton ace is 'Frustrated' at Goodison Park after what happened v Fulham

Bryan King believes Beto is frustrated over his lack of playing time at Everton.

The ex-Goodison scout thinks the striker will feel as though he should have started in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Fulham at Goodison Park on Saturday (26 October).

Beto replaced Dominic Calvert-Lewin after 81 minutes, popping up with a late equaliser as Sean Dyche’s side maintained their unbeaten run, with Theo Walcott particularly impressed by the forward’s impact.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – could see what the goal meant to the 26-year-old.

“I think Beto will feel as though he should have started,” King said.

“It appears as though he is frustrated that he’s hardly playing for the Toffees, or starting games. His reaction to the goal demonstrated that. He was very emotional afterwards, that goal looked to be a great relief to him.

“He is a handful up front, that is for sure. I think he had a point to prove when he was brought on, and he came on and scored the equaliser.”

Beto has played just five times in the Premier League during the 2024/25 campaign and is yet to start in the competition this season. Before coming on against Fulham, he hadn’t featured in England’s top flight since 17 September, having been an unused substitute in the Toffees’ last four matches.

Therefore, the striker would have no doubt felt as though he sent a message to Dyche after scoring against the Cottagers.

It has been a difficult few weeks for Beto. However, after his impact off the bench, he will be hoping and expecting to feature more regularly in the coming weeks for Everton.
