Tottenham have been tipped to spend “serious” money in January after recent club announcements.

Spurs recently announced via the club’s official website [17 December] that they had partnered with Netflix to promote the second season of Squid Game, with a brand-new £50million documentary also mooted.

In addition, also announced via Spurs’ official website on Tuesday 17 December, Tiger Beer has become the club’s Official International Beer Partner, as Daniel Levy continues to boost revenue in North London.

Therefore, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has speculated that the club could make use of these new found revenue streams by making some big signings in January.

“All these announcements mean more money coming into the club,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, that should be reflected in January with some serious money spent and some big signings made. We can’t keep signing players for the future, we need players for now.

“We’re still in a lot of competitions, so we need to be making signings from 1 January who are able to contribute to the team and competitions such as the Carabao Cup. Therefore, let’s hope that the club are doing everything in their power to use this money from multiple partnerships to benefit the club.”

Tottenham to spend big in January for Ange Postecoglou?

Ange Postecoglou is in desperate need of new additions to his squad. Therefore, the Australian will also be hoping that Levy gets his wallet out next month.

Spurs have already been linked with a host of players, with the club having been urged to trigger a £13million release clause on 1 January [via TBR Football, 13 December]. As a result, Postecoglou will feel slightly encouraged by these signs.

However, he will no doubt also hope that some more high-profile signings are brought through the door.

In other Tottenham news, the club and one big-name player are apart on a new contract agreement.
