Man City Exclusive: Big Pedro Neto update today

Man City have placed Wolves forward Pedro Neto on their transfer list and a “significant” offer for him is likely to be accepted, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the 24-year-old is a “viable target” for the defending Premier League champions in this window.

The club have had a long-term interest in Neto, who is someone who is seen as having the potential to be world-class.

Wolves would find it hard to reject a big money offer from the Premier League giants as it would help balance the books for PSR purposes.

Neto himself is interested in moving to the Etihad, and he has been on Man City’s target list for some time.

The Portugal international would love to play Champions League football at this stage in his career, which Man City can guarantee.

Man City could bring in Pedro Neto to replace Julian Alvarez

Man City are well stocked in attacking options, but the Premier League giants are set to lose Julian Alvarez in this window.

The Argentina international might traditionally be a striker, but he played in various positions for Pep Guardiola which is a gap Neto could fill.

The Portuguese forward is experienced in the Premier League, having played 111 games in England’s top flight.

One player who isn’t expected to leave the Etihad in this window is Jack Grealish, despite him missing out on Euro 2024 after an indifferent season.

Football Insider revealed that Grealish is determined to fight for his place in Guardiola’s team in the upcoming season.
