Manchester City fans are all making the same point about ‘unstoppable’ Savinho after beating Leicester

Manchester City got back to winning ways in the Premier League as they saw off Leicester City thanks to goals from Brazilian winger Savinho and star striker, Erling Haaland.

City have been on a dismal run in the last few months but produced something more akin to what we’re all used to seeing as they saw off the Foxes with ease.

Savinho’s opener was well-deserved and he will be delighted to finally score his first for the club, while Erling Haaland’s return to hitting the back of the net is just what Pep Guardiola will want.

However, while Haaland’s goal was a major plus-point for City, the performance and goal for Savinho was also a huge boost.

Savinho has been in and out of the team since signing but there have been flashes of his class.

Against Leicester, the Brazilian got his goal and also brilliantly set up Haaland for his headed finish as he showed Guardiola just why he should be featuring a bit more.

And over on social media platform X, it seems Savinho has convinced the City fans that there’s more to come from him as well.

As is always the case with social media, reactionary comments are the norm but for Savinho, it will be nice to see he’s proving some of the doubters wrong.

X was full of comments lauding the Brazilian’s performance and it seems that in many people’s eyes, City have got themselves a star of the future.

Another fan of the winger, @SelecaoTalk, suggested Savinho had now shut the doubters up.

“And Savinho gets his goal. That will put an end to the reactionary nonsense we’ve seen on here recently.”

While @legendSilva_21 suggested Savinho is going to be a top player in the future after looking back at his highlights from earlier in the season.

“Watching City vs Everton. Savinho has a brilliant first touch. For his age that’s crazy. He is a fullbacks nightmare. Once he nails down his final ball/decision making, he will be unstoppable.”

Another City fan, @bernardooooV3, also lauded Savinho and insisted he deserved his goal.

“Nobody deserves that goal like Savinho does, an incredible footballer with all the minerals. Although a tap in, he needed to get his goal tally started at City, and hopefully it lets a lot of pressure off”.

Savinho can help save Man City’s season

Sometimes in a struggling team, it needs someone to come in and play with freedom and without fear to get things going.

That is exactly what Savinho brought to the table against Leicester and it seemed to rub off on the rest of the City team as well.

For Pep Guardiola, seeing his young winger produce today will feel massively important and Pep will hope it is the catalyst for the team to really kick on now.

As for Savinho, he’ll want this to be the first of many a goal in City colours.
