Manchester United and Liverpool both keen on Fulham defender
The Premier League heavyweights are both tracking the full-back.
Manchester United and Liverpool are both considering moves for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson, according to reports.
The 27-year-old has been a fixture in the Cottagers’ first-team since joining from Wigan in 2020, making 155 appearances for the club and scoring three goals.
Born and raised in England, Robinson’s father has American citizenship and the full-back opted to play for USA, winning 46 caps so far.
His performances for club and country have attracted attention from Premier League giants, with Liverpool and Manchester United both interested in his signature, reports The Sun.
Left-back has been an issue for the Red Devils with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia struggling badly with injuries.
Neither man has featured yet this season with summer signing Noussair Mazraoui filling in on the left of defence and even veteran Jonny Evans slotting in there at times.
Shaw remains first choice, but has not played a club match since February and his reliability, in terms of fitness, is certainly in question.
Malacia has not played for Manchester United since May 2023 in a Premier League win over Fulham, with a serious knee problem keeping him out of action for well over a year.
Liverpool still have Andy Robertson as first choice left-back, with the 30-year-old starting all five of their Premier League games so far this season.
Kostas Tsimikas remains the back-up for the Scot so there would be plenty of competition for Robinson if he were to make the move to Anfield.
Robinson grew up on Merseyside, coming through the youth set-up at Everton before moving on a permanent transfer to Wigan in 2019.
The in-demand left-back was in the starting XI as Fulham beat Newcastle 3-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday, climbing to eighth in the Premier League table as a result.
