Everton are predicted to finish in 17th place despite dropping points against Leicester, having drawn 1-1 on 21 September.
The Toffees went into the game without a single point and despite leading through Iliman Ndiaye’s goal, they failed to hold on to it and came away with just a point from their travels to the King Power Stadium.
However, despite the slow start, Opta’s Super Computer predicts them to avoid the drop, with Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton finishing below them.
Everton are flirting with the possibility of relegation
The Toffees are still given a 38 per cent chance of relegation, which is worryingly high given how well they ended last season.
Their performances this time around have been shocking, so much so that former Liverpool striker Michael Owen can’t help but make jokes about their predicament.
It has become a trend for Everton this season to take the lead and then drop points as has been the case in the last three league games.
Something needs to change and it needs to change quickly as losing eight points from winning positions in three games is a major worry.
While they’re predicted to finish 17th, they are currently in 19th place and that’s something that they should be focusing on.
Sean Dyche has built a reputation for helping teams avoid relegation but putting the Toffees into a relegation battle after last season is entirely on him and he could lose his job if things don’t improve.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has issued a claim on Dan Friedkin and John Textor teaming up in order to complete the takeover.
