The Friedkin Group’s takeover at Everton is set to be completed on Thursday morning, according to Mark Douglas.

The journalist shared on the iNews website that an announcement of the completed takeover is expected to come in the late hours of the morning on Thursday [19 December].

It has been reported that the takeover of the Toffees has been approved by the relevant parties and an announcement of the deal is all that is left which will surely be welcome news for all at the club.

For those on the Blue side of Liverpool, this must have felt like a very long time coming and supporters will be relieved that the end could be in sight within hours.

The announcement is expected to be a low-key affair although this won’t matter to anyone at Goodison and rather sights will be set on improving things as soon as possible.

Whether TFG will choose to give Sean Dyche more time with the team will be seen within the hours or days after the announcement of the takeover but with the January transfer window in sight, this will be a big test for the new owners.

The Toffees are only three points clear of the relegation zone so there is plenty of work to be done immediately to make sure the second half of the season is more successful.

However, the new era at Goodison Park is nearly upon us and this will be a great early Christmas present for the Toffees.
