Rangers have struck a “massive deal” after the club announced an extension to its partnership with Kindred Group, Four Lads Had A Dream said.

The club announced [18 September] that the Gers have extended their partnership with the group, which is home to Unibet and 32Red brands in the UK, who appear on the club’s shirts.

The Scottish giants first signed with the Gibraltar-based company in 2014, making it the longest-running shirt partnership in British football, and now that is set to continue at Ibrox.

Taking to X on Wednesday (18 September), Four Lads wrote: “This is a massive deal for the club, the biggest front of shirt sponsorship in our history.

“From next season, the new deal will be worth 80% more than the current deal & potentially a lot more with bonus incentives (it could see almost double our current deal if we hit targets).

“Financially it is a great deal. On the back of the recent Elior deal, which was a club record commercial deal, this is more good news.

“Whilst I appreciate everything is a bit of a mess at the moment, these are two great deals for the club, cornerstone sponsorship basically, that gives the club security going forward.”

Rangers agree “massive” deal with shirt sponsors

The Gers are often pointed out to have a much smaller budget than their Old Firm rivals Celtic, and it looks as though the hierarchy at Ibrox is attempting to address that.

Fans are desperate for their club to compete with the Hoops at the top of the Scottish Premiership, having won just one Scottish Premiership title in the last decade.

However, until the Gers can start spending more in the transfer market, it becomes incredibly difficult for any manager to achieve that feat against their bitter rivals.

This news will be hugely exciting for the fans, and those responsible at Ibrox deserve their flowers for striking such a deal amid a lot of criticism currently being aimed at the board.

Of course, other issues now need to be solved, such as hiring a new chairman after John Bennett’s departure and Philippe Clement turning things around on the pitch, but this is a positive sign of change.

In other Rangers news, Simon Jordan has reacted to talks with the Gers board members after what Dave King has done.
