Rangers manager Philippe Clement has banned his players from swearing during training following their heavy 3-0 defeat to Celtic.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, ex-Scotland striker Frank McAvennie believes the 50-year-old manager needs to get his priorities straight if he’s going to turn things around at Rangers and admits he ‘doesn’t know what’s going on’ at the club.
Clement’s side currently sit in fourth place, five points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premier League title.
Philippe Clement bans swearing at Rangers – Frank McAvennie can’t believe it
Rangers face Dundee United in their first league game since their Old Firm defeat on Sunday, September 15th, as they seek to redeem themselves and get their season back on track.
“I fear for the manager”, McAvennie told Football Insider.
“He came out (after the Celtic game) rambling and now he’s apparently stopped the players from swearing in training.
“I don’t know if that’s true, but if it is, my god, that’s not going to win you any games, getting the boys to stop swearing.
“We will see how it goes, I just don’t know what’s happening over there.”
In other news, Philippe Clement told ‘tell Rangers fans the truth’ in brutal twist.
