Michael Ball shares main Everton hope ahead of TFG takeover

Everton in relegation battles will hopefully become a thing of the past under The Friedkin Group, Michael Ball says.

Goodison News understands there’s still no concrete timeline for the takeover to be completed, but the Merseyside club aren’t worried, with Ball wanting security back.

Sean Dyche’s team find themselves 16th in the Premier League, three points above the relegation zone, after their 0-0 draw against Arsenal on Saturday [14 December].

In the Liverpool Echo [17 December], Ball wrote: “Ultimately, Everton should not be in relegation battles, and hopefully, they will become a thing of the past.

“After years of uncertainty, what we want more than anything is for Everton to be a football club that is secured for generations to come — hopefully, we will now get it.”

Everton ushered into new era under The Friedkin Group

The Toffees are set to be ushered into a new era with the departure of Farhad Moshiri, who has been at the helm during a turbulent period at the Merseyside outfit.

With Dan Friedkin’s arrival seemingly imminent, the Goodison faithful will hope for better management after years of instability.

Dyche was appointed the Blues’ head coach in January 2023 during a relegation struggle, and the English head coach has been unable to make any progress since then.

Everton once again find themselves at risk of going down to the Championship in the current campaign and fans have already somewhat turned on the manager.

Dan Friedkin is close to completing the Everton takeover.

Dyche has managed to drown the noise around his future after the win over Wolves and an impressive goalless draw at Arsenal recently.

It will be interesting to see whether TFG will stick with the 53-year-old in the Goodison dugout once they make their way to Merseyside.

With the Toffees’ move to Bramley-Moore Dock, there’s even more reason for the Goodison faithful to see a revolution at the Blues.
