New Bundesliga market update favours Boniface, Adeyemi, as former Man City star suffers downgrade

Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has experienced a rise in market value following the latest update carried out by renowned stats platform Transfermarkt, Soccernet.ng reports.

Boniface is now estimated to be worth a career-high €45 million, a five million euros increase from his previous value.

It has been an excellent last 15 months for Boniface whose value was pegged at €12 million when Bayer Leverkusen signed him from Union Saint-Gilloise last year.

Leverkusen paid €20 million to acquire his services at the time.

However, Boniface enjoyed a brilliant start to life in the Bundesliga and his market value spiked to €40 million in October 2023.

The 23-year-old striker helped Bayer Leverkusen clinch the league and cup double for the first time in the club’s history.

Boniface has started this campaign on an impressive note as well as he has already registered six goals and one assist in nine appearances across all competitions.

At €45 million, Boniface is the 14th most valuable player in the Bundesliga, the third in Leverkusen, and the second in Nigeria, behind Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen.

Boniface is not the only player who saw an increase in their market value, though.

New Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise is now valued at €65 million – a €10m rise from his previous heights – following his excellent start to life in Germany.

Borussia Dortmund ace Karim Adeyemi has a new value of €35m (€7m rise) while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush is now one of the most valuable players in Africa at €40 million (+ €18m).

There is, however, a €10 million downgrade for former Manchester City star Leroy Sané (now €60m) and his Bayern Munich teammate Kingsley Coman (now €40m) following an injury-plagued year.

Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz remain the highest-valued footballers in the German Bundesliga at €130 million.

The duo are closely followed by England captain Harry Kane (€100m) and Dutch wonder boy Xavi Simons (€80m).
