Newcastle United fans are wishing Blackpool luck after the League One club confirmed the appointment of Steve Bruce as their new manager.

Clips of Bruce’s first interview with his new club emerged on social media, with Newcastle supporters the first to comment.

The manager departed St James’ Park in 2021 shortly after the PIF takeover and was replaced by Eddie Howe, but fans have not forgotten his spell at the club.

Consistent issues with the style and brand of football, as well as bizarre moments in interviews, summed up Bruce’s time as the Newcastle manager.

Now, upon his arrival at Blackpool, Magpies supporters are expecting more of the same despite the boss having spent two years out of the game.

The League One outfit finished last season in eighth place, just three points outside of the playoff places, and are looking to secure a shot at promotion this time around.

However, they currently sit in 22nd after suffering two defeats and two draws from their first four games, and are hoping Bruce is the man to help them find some form.

Newcastle fans have taken to social media in a warning to Blackpool that they can expect things to get worse rather than better under the new manager.
