Kayode was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but grew up in the Republic of Ireland, and it appears his tent is pitched with the European nation. He was called up to the Irish U-21 team for the first time in October 2020 ahead of their European Championship qualifier against Italy, but he’s yet to feature for the senior team. He scored his first goal for the U-21 team the following month against Luxembourg.
