Arsenal have made some fantastic signings in recent years.
Martin Odegaard was an absolute bargain at £30m, William Saliba was an incredible buy at just £27m, while even Kai Havertz has proven value for money at £65m.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, people within Arsenal believe David Raya is one of the best signings they have made in recent years.
Indeed, speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Romano says that Arsenal believe that Raya was a brilliant signing at just £27m, and now, the belief is that he’s worth at least £60m.

“He’s doing fantastic. Arsenal internally believe this has been one of the best signings in recent years for them,” Romaon said.
“It wasn’t easy to change goalkeeper, Ramsdale was doing very well, but they wanted to change their style. They believe signing Raya on loan with an obligation to buy at something around £27m. Arsenal believe his value is over £50m, probably £60m.”

David Raya was a fantastic signing at just £27m.
In this day and age, goalkeepers come at a premium, but Arsenal managed to sniff out a bargain here.
Andre Onana cost Manchester United significantly more last summer, and Raya has outperformed the Red Devils’ goalkeeper to some degree.
While other teams such as Tottenham and Chelsea continue to have goalkeeping issues, Arsenal have settled on an established number one for a decent fee.
Raya continues to improve at Arsenal, putting in a standout performance last week against Atalanta, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he once again won the Golden Glove this season.
Arsenal’s recruitment team deserve a lot of credit for their business in recent years, and Raya has been one of their very best signings.
