PL refuse to comment as Everton found to be in breach of commercial rule - report

The Premier League has refused to comment on concerns Everton are in breach of regulations regarding gambling sponsorship, according to The Mirror.

Writing on their website [22 October] the news outlet reported the Blues are one of six Premier League sides guilty of not offering alternative adult replica kits without gambling sponsors.

Pitch Inspection found Everton, Aston Villa, Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton culpable of violating the Premier League rules.

The sides can benefit from the gambling sponsorship until the summer of 2026 however, the silence from the Premier League could suggest further sanctions will be imposed on the guilty clubs.

Everton find themselves in hot water with the Premier League again

Everton supporters will be sick of the sight of the Premier League as the club could now face new troubles after the latest reported breach of regulations.

Stake.com has been the front-of-shirt sponsor at Goodison Park since the 2022/23 season and by the end of next season, the club will be required to find new sponsorship.

The Blues have already found themselves in hot water because of their gambling sponsorship after the sponsor appeared on a website catered to junior fans [The Guardian] in a breach of voluntary code of conduct.

Everton Farhad Moshiri
Farhad Moshiri has been blasted as Everton’s takeover saga rolls on

This level of negligence is exactly why the supporters cannot wait to see the back of Farhad Moshiri, the catalogue of errors on Merseyside appears endless even as his reign is reaching its conclusion.

Dan Friedkin is notorious for his ruthless approach to business and once his American consortium completed the proposed takeover of Everton, breaches such as this will become a distant memory.

In other Everton news, the Blues have joined the hunt to sign Abdukodir Khusanov.
