Rangers fans were buzzing to see Danilo Pereira return from injury during their first pre-season match of the summer.
The 25-year-old made his first appearance after a seven-month absence due to a knee injury he suffered back in December.
The Gers were beaten 2-1 in their first outing, but that couldn’t dampen the spirits regarding Danilo’s comeback.
The striker only made a cameo appearance as he replaced Robbie Fraser in the 76th minute, but it was a positive step on his road to being fully sharp again.
His debut season at Ibrox Stadium was cut short because of his injury, as he managed just 21 games in all competitions.
Danilo scored four Scottish Premiership goals in 12 appearances, and fans will now be looking for him to have a positive impact next season.
Rangers fans are excited by what Danilo can provide
Danilo showed glimpses of what he was capable of last season before he was sidelined, and given that he’s set for a full pre-season campaign there’s excitement building amongst fans.
Even though he only made a small appearance against Ajax, seeing him back on the grass was enough to get Rangers fans talking about what he can bring this season.
