Rangers fans are calling for Cyriel Dessers to remain at Ibrox beyond the summer transfer window after his goal against Dynamo Kyiv.
Philippe Clement’s side drew 1-1 in the first leg of their Champions League qualifying clash courtesy of a 94th-minute equaliser from the Nigerian striker.
Dessers’ inconsistency in front of goal during his first season in Glasgow led to calls for him to be sold this summer, but fans are now backtracking on their calls.
Despite having found the net 22 times in 54 games across all competitions last season, the striker proved a source of frustration as he missed several big chances.
This had led to calls for him to be sold this summer, but he expressed his desire to stay and improve at Ibrox – something the fans are now keen to let happen.

As reported by Football Insider on 22 July, fans labelled the striker “shocking”, “awful” and “one of the worst footballers” after his display v Man United in pre-season.
However, a performance in which he was unlucky not to score against Hearts followed by a crucial late equaliser against Kyiv has seen may have a change of heart.
Now, fans have flocked to social media to insist Dessers stays at Ibrox beyond this summer’s transfer window as a key part of Clement’s side.
Others, meanwhile, refused to budge on their original stance and still want to see him sold.
