Rangers fans have been left feeling furious with Philippe Clement after his most recent remarks about Ianis Hagi’s status with the club.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder had been told he was free to leave the club during the summer transfer window, but the Gers weren’t able to strike a deal to sell him.

Hagi has been banished to the reserves recently, and despite him still being at the club after the window shut there is no change in his situation.

During his pre-match press conference ahead of the Old Firm derby, Clement made it clear that there is no development as far as Hagi’s future is concerned.

The Rangers boss stressed that he told Hagi to look for other opportunities as the club does not see him as their current number 10.

The Romania international spent last season away from Ibrox on loan at Deportivo Alaves.

Rangers fans have been left confused and frustrated by Clement’s comments, as Hagi is set to remain an outcast despite being under contract.

Supports of the Scottish giants have questioned how Clement has handled this situation, with some claiming that Hagi is being “treated very poorly.”
