Rangers are in advanced negotiations with Manchester United to take midfielder Hannibal Mejbri on loan, according to Africa Foot.
The outlet reported on 25 July that Philippe Clement has made the transfer of the Tunisian a “priority” this summer after his performance against the club during the pre-season friendly on 20 July.
The Glasgow-based outfit aren’t the only ones vying for his transfer, however, as Copenhagen have also started negotiations with the youngster.
However, Hannibal is said to be “not very keen” on the idea of a move to the Danish top flight.

The Gers have already undergone plenty of change through the summer window and don’t look to be slowing down any time soon.
Following Rangers’ loss to Birmingham on 24 July, Clement announced that Todd Cantwell had handed in a transfer request [MailOnline, 24 July] and would be playing with the B Team for the foreseeable future.
This leaves the Gers a winger short for the upcoming season and could be an ideal area for Hannibal to slot in.
The youngster is fairly versatile having played as an attacking midfielder as well as on both flanks and deeper at central midfield.
Although his move to Sevilla didn’t work out too well last term, the fact that a La Liga side saw enough in him to call him up to the top flight of Spain showcases the talent he possesses.
It’s also evident that Clement needs to bring in further attacking options in order for the Ibrox side to try stake their claim on the Scottish Premiership this season.
His addition would certainly please Stevie Clifford [Rangers Review, 22 July, 33:16] who claimed just the other day that he would take Hannibal at the club straight away.
