Rangers lead chase for new transfer after holding talks to sign £6.8m attacker - report

Rangers are leading the chase to secure the services of Rapid Bucuresti striker Albion Rrahmani, according to Digisport.

The Romanian news outlet reported on 6 June that Nils Koppen even held talks with his representatives after meeting them at a transfer summit in Cancun, Mexico.

It’s understood that Rapid are looking for a fee in the region of £6.8million to sell the Kosovo international this summer.

Rangers must sign Rrahmani but look to bring down his price

Rrahmani is a quality striker but he will be considered an expensive acquisition for Gers at the asking price.

The 23-year-old Kosovo centre forward has netted 17 goals in 25 league games this season, showcasing his ability to find the back of the net consistently.

His experience in the Super Liga, where he holds the record for the most expensive player, and the Kosovo national team demonstrates his adaptability and potential to perform at a high level in various systems.

Gers are looking to add to their firepower in attack over the coming weeks and Rrahmani’s goal-scoring prowess and versatility make him an ideal candidate.

His age also suggests that he has significant room for growth and development, potentially making him a long-term asset for the club.

Securing his services would not only strengthen Gers’ squad but also demonstrate the club’s ambition and ability to attract top talent.

In other Rangers news, a Premier League midfielder with “great quality” is now up for grabs this summer amid a recent development with a move to Ibrox on the cards.
