Just over 24 hours after being told to leave the club publicly by manager Carlo Ancelotti, it looks as if Reinier Jesus will seal a loan move to Granada. The 22-year-old was told to ‘find a club where he can show his qualities’ by the Italian during his most recent press conference.
Reinier spent last season on loan at Frosinone after similarly unsuccessful spells at Girona and Borussia Dortmund, but it was made clear on his return to Madrid that he was not part of their plans. The €30m signing has two years left on his deal, and Relevo report that he will head to Segunda to play for Granada this season, with Jesus Vallejo having made the same switch last season.
The Brazilian had been linked with a move to Norwich City last week, but it appears he will head to the South of Spain instead, where he will play at Nuevo Los Carmenes. Los Nazaries are trying to win promotion back to La Liga after being relegated last season. Reinier has shown ability in flashes, but in both of his last two loans, has ended the season on the bench.
